Job Summary

This job manages a team of engineers, cultivating a culture of innovation and professional development on our Buyer Cloud App Team. It oversees the design and update of software and web applications, ensuring alignment with business goals. Collaborating cross-functionally, it sets project requirements and timelines, manages the release process, and monitors adherence to standards and budgets. The job also tracks industry trends and develops proposals for technological enhancements, driving continuous improvement and team expertise. Buyer Cloud is responsible for building and maintaining the services necessary to set up, configure, manage, monitor, and execute DSP digital real-time bidding campaigns. The team focuses on APIs, support tools, and ad serving systems, supporting FreeWheel Engineering by enabling efficient and scalable programmatic advertising operations. The App team owns the API services, focusing on building and maintaining the interfaces that support DSP campaign operations. The team supports Buyer Cloud by enabling seamless integration and configuration of bidding services.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning
  • Overseeing the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements and modifications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, set timelines, and maintain communication for efficient workflows
  • Managing software design and application updates, coordinating roll-outs and ensuring enhancements meet technical specifications
  • Implementing key performance indicators for development processes, advocating for best practices to improve efficiency and product quality
  • Managing deliverables across the team, ensuring adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets while mentoring staff for professional growth
  • Monitoring industry technological developments, evaluating external products, and ensuring the team's knowledge is up-to-date
  • Developing proposals, software changes, and managing capital expenditure projects to drive innovation and operational excellence
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading software engineering teams of 4 or more
  • Proficient with Python
  • Experience with Django

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $137,369.30 - $206,053.95

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.


Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
