Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - RRT with 4+ years of experience and Epic charting experience for a night shift hospital position.

Details
  • Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy/Neuro Diagnostics unit
  • Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30-07:00
  • Weekend schedule covering Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays
  • No on-call requirements
  • Epic charting system used
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
  • Epic charting experience required
  • NC or Compact license required in hand at time of consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Skilled in adult critical care and emergency department settings
  • Experience with medication delivery systems including aerosol setups, MDIs, and nebulizers
  • Proficient in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency oscillator/jet ventilation
  • Skilled in neonatal/pediatric airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
  • Experience with oxygen therapy including high flow nasal cannula and hyperbaric therapy
  • Proficient in basic EKG interpretation and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
Additional Information
  • Provide respiratory care across a wide range of patient populations from infants to geriatric patients
  • Perform ventilator management, airway management, and medication administration duties
  • Bi-weekly orientation schedule
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 31-March 31) with no exemptions
  • Candidates who were previously permanent employees of the health system must not have left within the past 6 months
  • Maximum RTO of 5-7 days
