  • Strong familiarity with financial concepts including: the basics of corporate finance such as 3-statement financial modeling; forecasting; and valuation techniques
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills: working with large data sets in Excel/Access, and ability to source and process information independently
  • Demonstrated ability to generate ideas: work closely and communicate effectively in a time sensitive environment, ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, client service minded and strong writing skills
  • Must enjoy following the stock market and developing industry themes
  • Technical skills: Bloomberg and/or FactSet skills helpful; Excel (macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, short cuts).
  • Strong communication skills: particularly an ability to write concisely using correct grammar
  • Comfortable working 10+ hour workdays and some work on occasional weekends
  • SIE, Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 licensure is preferred, or expected to be completed within the first 6 months of joining
Education:
  • BA/BS required, concentration must be in a scientific area relevant to the job
  • MBA, CPA, PharmD or PhD in a scientific area relevant to the job is not required, but is a plus
  • Demonstrated academic ability with a minimum of 3.5 GPA
