Position: Brand Ambassador

Type: Full-time (32 hours per week)

Starting Wage: $23/hour

Purpose: Must embody and share the brand, values, and vision of Melanzana. The retail area, people and place, are the interface between us and our customers. Brand Ambassadors help promote brand values by engaging with all in store and virtual customers and ensure a positive customer experience for ALL customers and/or visitors through informative, helpful interactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greeting all customers and/or visitors (be a 'Melanzana Guide')
    • Ensure Melanzana's brand values are apparent to every customer who comes into the store
    • Educate customers, making sure they understand why we do appointment only, in-store shopping and how it works
    • Create a positive, welcoming customer experience whether they're shopping, seeing if they can get an appointment, or just visiting
  • Have a thorough understanding of our vision statement, mission, products and services and be able to communicate it in your own words and style.
  • Have an understanding of what is going on in production so you can provide the best service possible
  • Stoked daily to be a part of a small manufacturer fighting the small manufacturer good fight!
  • Adapt our customer service to the variety of circumstances working in a manufacturing environment can create with a positive attitude
  • Follow customer interaction guidelines provided by Media Specialist
  • POS duties
  • Running the floor
    • Restocking and ensuring the floor is up to standard throughout the day
    • Customer engagement throughout their appointment
  • Email/Phone
    • Help remote customers with appointment questions
    • Troubleshoot technical difficulties and assist customers who are not technology proficient
    • Help answer general questions from remote customers regarding the way our shopping works
  • Backend Responsibilities
    • Work with Quality Control to help barcode, hang & bead garments as they come out from QC
    • Back stocking hoodies as they come out of production; manage & maintain back stock organization
    • Process Returns/Exchanges/Pre Orders and have a thorough understanding of Google Workspace & Shopify
    • Completing customer repairs (i.e. calling the customers, shipping the garment, etc.)

Requirements

  • 2-5 years in a customer service environment
  • Enthusiasm for Melanzana's core values
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with all personality types.
  • Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Self-disciplined, with confidence and drive to work independently.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to work weekends
