Job description

We're hiring a dependable, hands-on Machine Shop Assistant to support our production team. This is a physical, on-the-floor role—not an office job. You’ll help move materials, keep the shop organized, and assist with essential duties.  This position includes the cleaning of three small bathrooms and front offices 2-3 days per week.  If you're looking for a steady, full-time opportunity with great benefits and room to grow, this is a great way to get started in aerospace products manufacturing.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Local pick-up and delivery (25-mile radius) driving our company-owned small pick-up truck
  • Cut raw materials using band saws
  • Assist with general bench work and shop tasks
  • Clean parts returning from outside processes, such as heat treat, black oxide and powder coat
  • Glass bead parts returning from heat treat
  • Assist the Master Machinist with light manufacturing duties
  • Light cleaning of the bathrooms and offices
  • Other jobs as assigned


What You Need

  • 1+ year of shop or warehouse experience (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to follow instructions, work safely and get along well with co-workers
  • Forklift experience is a plus (but not mandatory)


Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, and use hands frequently throughout the shift
  • Lift up to 35 lbs as needed
