DEPARTMENT: MARKETING

REPORTS TO: PHOTOGRAPHY/MEDIAL MANAGER

STATUS: INTERNSHIP (NON-EXEMPT)

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

The Photography intern will assist in creating and developing visual components for marketing, communications, website, and social media. The Photography intern will help design and strategize all aspects of photography including training, games, appearances, and other events in a portfolio to be used by the facility.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Capture action images during games
  • Pose and direct individual and team photos
  • Upload and organize photos
  • Create digital memories for families to take home
  • Bring a fresh outlook on ways to maintain a current and professional design for all media components of the Pro and Youth teams
  • All duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current student or recently graduated in the last year studying Photography
  • Prior related photography experience
  • Editing and Photoshop experience
  • Must be able to shoot, edit and upload images on deadline
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, independently
  • Available 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and game days

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
  • Must be able to list 20 pounds infrequently
  • Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
  • Workplace environment has intermittent noise, generally moderate in nature, but can be loud at times especially during competitions and events
  • Exposure to heat, cold and other elements
