The Role

Senior Group Sales Executive primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around group ticket sales, group experiences, hospitality packages, and related ticketing opportunities for University of Miami Athletics.

Essential Functions
  • Offer a full menu of group seating opportunities and group experiences for Miami Hurricanes Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Baseball.
  • Coordinate and execute sales calls to potential group customers through prospecting, cold calling, referrals from current customers, database leads, and community outreach.
  • Identify and cultivate new group prospects, including schools, youth sports teams, corporate outings, community organizations, camps, alumni chapters, non‑profits, and special interest groups.
  • Develop and sell group ticket programs, theme nights, fan experiences, hospitality packages, fundraisers, and other group‑focused opportunities that drive attendance and revenue.
  • Provide excellent customer service while driving revenue through group ticket sales and ticket and donation offerings when appropriate.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospect interactions.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Work with University of Miami Athletic Department and Legends departments to promote and generate group sales to all ticketed events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of group events, fan experiences, and special group initiatives on game day.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with current group leaders and prospects through creative means such as networking events, community events, prospect sampling at games, seat visits, open houses, and outside meetings.
  • Work non‑traditional hours, weekends, events, and game days.
  • Accountable for activity metrics (calls, appointments), group deposits, revenue, and goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 2‑3+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Experience selling group tickets, event experiences, sports/entertainment products, or hospitality packages preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional image and positive attitude.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for group leaders and general group ticket inquiries.
  • Set and conduct in‑stadium, arena, and out‑of‑office sales appointments.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team group sales revenue goals.
  • Manage group buyers through the full sales process from initial interest to game‑day execution.
  • Prospect and cultivate new group sales leads through creative lead generation methods.
  • Handle a heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Optimistic team‑first attitude with a competitive desire to be the best.
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with group leaders, school administrators, business contacts, community partners, and C‑level clients.
Compensation
