Position Summary The Barback at The Setai plays a critical support role within the bar operation, ensuring seamless service in a luxury, Forbes-rated environment. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to excellence while supporting bartenders in delivering an elevated guest experience. Key Responsibilities Support bartenders during service by ensuring all bar stations are fully stocked and organized at all times Replenish liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar supplies Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, back bar, storage rooms, and equipment Polish and restock glassware according to The Setai's presentation and cleanliness standards Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the bar Remove empty bottles, trash, and recyclables promptly and discreetly Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with local regulations and Forbes standards Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and management to support smooth operations Assist with inventory organization and restocking deliveries as needed Uphold The Setai's luxury service culture, professionalism, and grooming standards at all times Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Barback or in a high-volume, luxury food & beverage environment preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required for the role Grooming & Professional Standards Must adhere strictly to The Setai grooming and uniform standards, including clean, pressed uniform and polished appearance Professional demeanor and respectful attitude at all times Commitment to maintaining a refined and discreet presence consistent with a luxury hospitality environment Knowledge & Compliance Knowledge of bar setup, tools, and basic beverage operations preferred Understanding of hygiene, safety, and alcohol service regulations Must comply with all company policies and Forbes Travel Guide standards This is a non-management position.
