Barback


The Barbacks at The Manchester Hotel supports the bartender with a primary responsibility of restocking glasses, beverages, ice, etc. The Barback must always be one step ahead of bartender's needs by keeping the bar area clean, well-stocked, and organized and constantly looks for opportunities to learn more about beverages and to help other staff. This position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager on duty. 


Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with and knows the location of every item in inventory.

  • Assists/executes all tasks as assigned by bartender.

  • Stocks bar to par level before and after each shift.

  • Stocks bar service area.

  • Communicates with bartenders throughout shift.

  • Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift.

  • Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers & guests.

  • Maintains a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant service area.

  • Assists/executes all tasks as assigned by other supervisors.

  • Follows all proper sanitation guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.


Qualifications:

  • Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).

  • Can lift heavy items, sometimes overhead.

  • Responsible, dependable, punctual.

  • Good communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.

  • Clean and professional appearance.

  • Must pass a background check.


Education/Formal Training:
