Job Summary:

Perform daily and monthly journal entries as well as GL reconciliations. Assist with month-end closing. Responsible for tax filings, license filings. Prepare and analyze financial reports.


Qualifications:

Minimum five years casino accounting experience showing progressive growth. Working knowledge of general accounting procedures; proficiency in Microsoft Office; 10-key and accounting software required. Basic math, computer and communication skills required. Ability to multitask and meet multiple and specified deadlines. HS Diploma or equivalent required. Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.



Requirements:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain accurate records for all accounts and be able to efficiently communicate same.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Assist with daily/monthly journal entries.
  • Assist in processing payroll
  • Assist in processing A/P
  • Assist with coding of credit cards and pay in a timely manner.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax fillings
  • Investigate and report any discrepancies noted in any areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Casino operation data.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Work Environment and ADA Requirements:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to converse over the telephone in a clear and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must have the manual dexterity required to write and operate computer. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. When on casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
