• Evaluate test results for precision, diagnose errors, and perform routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Keep thorough documentation of all procedures, offer training to new staff or students, and help maintain laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
