Job Description
General Scope
The Port Fuel Injection (PFI) Applications Engineerย is responsible forย application-level engineering support of fuel injection products, ensuring proper performance, validation, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle. This role serves as a technical interface between engineering, testing, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions, with strong emphasis on problem solving, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
ย Responsibilities and Duties
Design, develop, and refine remanufacturing processes for Hydraulically Actuated Unit Diesel injectors and Common Rail Diesel injectors.
- Provide application engineering support for Port Fuel Injection products and assigned programsย
- Investigate product performance issues, including test failures, flow audits, and field incidentsย
- Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action activities for engineering issuesย
- Author andย maintainย formal technical documentation such as incident reports, audit summaries, and engineering updatesย
- Participate in recurring engineering meetings (EPO, Gemba, program reviews) and communicate status to stakeholdersย
- Support manufacturing and supply chain with technical input toย maintainย shipment readiness and product qualityย
- Interface with internal labs, quality, and external suppliers as needed to resolve technical issuesย
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance and application robustnessย

- Occasional support outside standard hours during critical issues or product launchesย
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Bachelorโs degree in mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related fieldย
5 + years' Experience in application engineering, product support, or validation engineeringย
Experience involving design, validation, and manufacturing process of DIESEL engine Common Rail diesel fuel injector: automotive diesel fuel injection systems: performance of root cause analyses of diesel fuel system failures and design of diesel injector internal components with 3D SolidWorks and generation of engineering drawings using GD&T.
