Employer & IndustryFruit farms, orchardsVarious farms, including fruit and vegetable farms
Search & Comparison IntentOften compared for part-time, weekend workBroader seasonal farm work options

The main difference is that Weekend Apple Pickers typically work on weekends during the apple harvest season, focusing on fruit picking in orchards. Seasonal Farm Workers may perform a variety of farm tasks across different crops and seasons, often with more varied responsibilities. Both roles are outdoor, seasonal, and involve manual labor, but the Weekend Apple Picker role is more specialized for apple harvesting during weekends.

How much are Weekend Apple Pickers paid?

Weekend Apple Pickers typically earn between $10 and $15 per hour, depending on the location, farm, and experience. Some farms may offer bonuses or incentives for larger harvests, and the work often requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors during the harvest season.

How to become a Weekend Apple Picker?

To become a weekend apple picker, you typically need to be at least 16 years old, have physical stamina for outdoor work, and be available during harvest season. No formal education is required, but reliability and the ability to work in a team are important. Applying directly to farms or orchard companies during harvest time is the common way to find such seasonal positions.
