Job description

Veterinary Medical Oncologist
Animal Medical Center of Seattle (AMCS) - Shoreline, WA
Animal Medical Center of Seattle (AMCS) is seeking a second board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist to join our specialty and emergency hospital.
Our oncology service is well-established and supported by a strong referral base, providing immediate access to a consistent caseload. You'll step into a collaborative environment with experienced support staff, dedicated facilities, and the infrastructure needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
The Opportunity
This opportunity offers the chance to step into a strong, consistent oncology caseload within a dedicated, well-supported service, collaborate closely with a multi-specialty team on complex cases, and help shape the continued growth and direction of the oncology program.
Clinical Environment
In this setting, you'll work closely with specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, and Emergency & Critical Care, with access to a fully staffed Radiology department, including an on-site board-certified radiologist, supporting advanced diagnostics, imaging interpretation, and collaborative case management.
We prioritize thoughtful case management, continuity of care, clear and consistent communication across services, and strong support systems that allow you to stay focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Oncology Facilities & Resources
Our oncology service is supported by advanced resources designed to deliver efficient, high-quality care, including a dedicated, independent oncology building, a USP-compliant chemotherapy treatment area, advanced imaging capabilities such as radiology, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, and digital cytology tools that support efficient diagnostics and patient care.
Schedule & Support
We are committed to creating a sustainable and supportive work environment through flexible scheduling that promotes work-life balance, dedicated and highly trained oncology support staff, and strong administrative and operational systems designed to help you practice at your best.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary of $200,000 to $230,000, depending on experience, along with a production-based compensation structure. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are also available.
The benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) with company match; continuing education allowance and dedicated CE time; support for professional dues, DEA, and licensing; paid time off; and an Employee Assistance Program.
Our Approach to Work
We are building a collaborative, well-functioning clinical environment grounded in clear communication, shared accountability, and active, engaged leadership. We are committed to continuous improvement and intentionally strengthening our teams and services to better support both clinicians and patients.
Location
AMCS is located in Shoreline, just north of Seattle, offering convenient access to both urban amenities and outdoor recreation.
From restaurants and live music to water access, hiking, skiing, and weekend getaways to the mountains or coast, the Pacific Northwest provides year-round opportunities to recharge outside of work.
Who This Role Is Ideal For
This role is especially well suited to candidates seeking a well-supported, high-quality oncology caseload, who value close collaboration across specialties, want to help shape and grow an established service, and prefer to focus on patient care with strong operational support in place.
