Practice Overview

Westridge Animal Hospital has been providing complete veterinary care for dogs and cats in Phoenix, Glendale and Peoria since 1982.

We offer a wide variety of services including vaccination, spay and neuter, dentistry, general medicine and surgery, oral surgery and acupuncture. We combine our years of experience with modern diagnostic equipment to provide the highest standard of care. Our hospital utilizies digital radiographs, state of the art dental equipment, intraroral dental radiography, an in house pharmacy and more.

An experienced doctor who likes surgery/dentals will love it here because we do those procedures daily. Our schedule is comprised of wellness/prevention, as well as sick and urgent cases so we get lots of variety. And we're closed on weekends so you can enjoy your free time!

Our staff is well-trained so you can do what you do best...medicine! We're so sure you're gonna love our team that we're offering a $50,000 sign-on bonus to join us!

About the area: Located in the northwest corner of Phoenix, you're close to parks, trails, schools, shopping and restaurants.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
