Position Overview

Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel is currently seeking an experienced Server to provide genuine hospitality and the highest quality of service to our guests. The ideal candidate will create an engaging environment, providing courteous, responsive, guest-centered service. Our caring and attentive associates reinforce our principal belief that guest service is our highest priority. Energetic, service-oriented individuals who are experienced in providing efficient service and memorable experiences will benefit greatly through growth, training and mentorships.

Job Duties

· Provide exceptional customer service in an upscale dining environment, ensuring guest satisfaction from arrival through departure

· Accurately take food and beverage orders while maintaining thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and dietary accommodations

· Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring quality standards were met

· Manage multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and personalized guest interactions

· Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately through POS systems

· Resolve guest concerns and service issues professionally to maintain a positive dining experience

· Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure efficient service and communication

· Assist with training and mentoring new servers on service standards, menu knowledge, and company policies

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and side work responsibilities

· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations

· Possibly assist banquet, private event, and large-party service if needed

Qualifications

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· 2+ years of experience in a fine dining or upscale casual environment

· Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Must maintain a reliable and dependable professional work partnership with their manager
