Job description

General Physiatrist or Inpatient Medical Director – University Hospitals Cleveland

Job Summary: The selected physician will provide inpatient care at a joint‑venture community hospital and may also undertake acute hospital consults. Outpatient responsibilities may include neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, amputee services, EMG, chemodenervation, fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures. On‑call duties at the rehabilitation hospitals are expected, limited to one call every five weekends with internal medicine co‑coverage. Eligible candidates will also receive a faculty appointment at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, commensurate with prior academic rank and/or experience. The role offers a generous recruitment package and a productivity‑incentivized compensation model.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation care at the designated community hospital.
  • Perform acute care consults as required.
  • Deliver outpatient services such as neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, amputee care, EMG, chemodenervation, fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures.
  • Assume on‑call duties no more than once every five weekends with internal medicine co‑coverage.
  • Collaborate with other departments and maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and professional integrity.
