Job description

Summary:

Responsible for analyzing and monitoring the credit worthiness of the bank’s customers. Analyzes financial statements, tax returns and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank. Recommends loan products within the established bank guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Obtains loan request information from Bank lenders or borrowers to analyze credit information, financial statements and other related information pertaining to the loan.
  • Researches background documentation and reviews personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Analyzes financial information and prepares the preliminary analysis for the lender.
  • Requests and obtains financial statements on existing borrowers as needed.
  • Review and prepares written analysis, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for Bank officers on new, and as needed on renewal and existing loans. Prepares or assists in the preparation of loan memorandum for presentation to lenders and/or loan committees.
  • Updates collateral values, as needed on delinquent loans.
  • Oversees and manages financial information files to generate current reports, statements, accounts receivable and other information on customer accounts.
  • Establishes, reviews, and updates new and existing loan files as needed for the Bank on a regular basis.
  • Performs credit inquiries for the Bank as requested.
  • Develops and maintains ad hoc reports for bank management.
  • Assists bank personnel in preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Represents the Bank at various community/municipal events.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Successfully complete in-house training as required.
  • Recommends other Bank products and services when appropriate.
  • Provide and maintain professional business atmosphere. Promote a professional, positive and proper image of the Bank to the public and to the employees.
  • Maintain good working relationship with support departments and management.
  • Adopt First National Bank of Pasco’s philosophies and adhere to Bank policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance. Three to five years Bank credit experience. Excellent financial analytical skills with sound judgement and decision making abilities. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong customer service skills. Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines. Excellent project management skills. Excellent knowledge of personal/business financial statements and tax returns. Six months or more of experience with credit systems.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software; database software; Internet software; and word processing software. Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Jack Henry core processing is a plus.

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with all BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies.
