As a Delivery Driver at Surfside Angels you will play a crucial role in ensuring orders are delivered promptly and accurately within the community! You will start and end your day at Amazon Warehouse.

Delivery Driver Requirement Responsibilities:

  • Our Delivery Associates/Drivers drive a delivery van to drop off packages to customers within their community.
  • Drives a delivery branded high roof van up to 10,000 pounds to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions.
  • Move, lift or push boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation to load Van and deliver packages.
  • Lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours long.
  • Getting in and out of van every few minutes (up to 100 to 2000 times/day) to deliver up to 350 packages/day.
  • Moving up and down stairs.
  • Use handheld technology to manage the delivery process.
  • Effectively operate a GPS.
  • Work with a team in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Work about 3-4 days a week in a full time position (weekends and holidays included).
  • Work on a typical working day being 8 to 10 hours.
  • Follow strict safety standards on and off the road.
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
  • Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times.
  • May assist in training other team members and help coworkers.
  • Routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction or other factors.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure the delivery vehicle is in good condition. Report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with packages to be delivered
  • Drive safely, following GPS coordinated route, following all traffic laws
  • Deliver products to customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Meet or exceed delivery performance goals, including the number of packages delivered and the timeliness of deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
  • Properly scan and track packages using Amazon’s mobile app and ensure accurate delivery records.
  • Report any issues or problems to management immediately

As a Delivery Driver, You’ll Need:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Accurate package sorting, ensuring each package is delivered to the correct address
  • Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple deliveries within tight timeframes
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward customers.
