HVAC Helper/Apprentice Company Description: R&S The HVAC Company specializes in the installation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of heating and cooling ventilation equipment for residential and light commercial properties. The company offers services for heat pumps, boilers, mini-split systems, indoor air quality, water heaters, and zone control systems.


Job Summary The HVAC Helper will assist senior technicians with all aspects of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services for residential and commercial customers. The helper will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including preparing job sites, carrying equipment and tools, assisting with repairs and installations, and maintaining a clean work environment. Responsibilities


• Assist lead technicians with installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, heat pumps, and ductwork.

• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites. • Prepare work areas by setting up equipment and ensuring necessary parts are on hand.

• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning components, replacing air filters, and insulating ducts. • Perform minor electrical and plumbing tasks under supervision.

• Organize and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.

• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.

• Complete necessary paperwork, such as job reports and inventory logs. Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and strong manual dexterity.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation as well as a clean MVR.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
