JOB DESCRIPTION
Watershed Security, is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years' Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience. Watershed is looking for a hands-on Systems Security Engineer to support a six-month task managing, updating, and securing a mission-critical Public Safety Systems (PSS) alarm monitoring environment in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and software modernization of a mixed infrastructure comprising Windows domain controllers, Citrix servers, and integrated digital video recording (DVR) and camera equipment. This role requires a blend of deep Windows systems administration, Citrix virtualization expertise, and hardware integration skills to upgrade end-of-life (EOL) software in direct support of an upcoming RMF re-authorization.; onsite in Jacksonville, FL.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration & Modernization: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Active Directory domain controllers, ensuring proper Group Policy Object (GPO) implementation and domain health.
  • Citrix Environment Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of Citrix servers delivering core alarm monitoring and video applications to end-users.
  • Software Lifecycle Updates: Lead the planning and execution of critical software updates and patches to remediate End-of-Life (EOL) application components across the enclave.
  • Physical Security Infrastructure Integration: Support the integration, configuration, and performance tuning of digital video recording (DVR) and camera equipment connected to the local PSS infrastructure.
  • RMF Technical Support: Design and implement technical fixes, patches, and configurations to meet Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) STIG requirements and NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 controls.
  • Infrastructure Configuration Management: Maintain rigorous configuration control over the environment's compute, storage, and networking hardware, ensuring all updates are documented.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Windows Systems Administration, Active Directory management, and Virtualization/Citrix engineering.
  • Citrix Expertise: Proven experience configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Hardware Familiarity: Direct experience working with physical security components, including IP cameras, DVRs, or CCTV systems.
  • Security Compliance: Strong hands-on knowledge of implementing DoD/Navy Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on Windows Server operating systems.
  • Clearance: Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

PAY RANGE
Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Watershed offers competitive compensation, medical and dental benefits, educational reimbursement, 401K plans with matching, 15 days of PTO to start and 11 paid holidays per year. The proposed salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $87,000 USD.
