Cabin Cleaner

Huntleigh USA Corporation is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Cabin Cleaners at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN).

The Cabin Cleaner is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and preparing aircraft interiors and exteriors for passenger boarding while following all airline, airport, safety, and security requirements. This position may also perform aircraft searches for prohibited or non-allowed items in accordance with airline procedures and training.

This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work efficiently within time-sensitive aircraft turnaround schedules.

Key Responsibilities Interior Aircraft Cleaning
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash from aircraft interiors.
  • Vacuum, mop, clean, and sanitize aircraft interior areas.
  • Clean seats, floors, galleys, lavatories, and other assigned areas.
  • Perform aircraft searches as trained and in accordance with airline requirements.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies are properly stocked, organized, and stored after use.
  • Follow established safety procedures and promptly report potential hazards.
  • Prepare aircraft interiors for passenger boarding.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each shift.
Exterior Aircraft Cleaning
  • Maintain cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment in a properly stocked and organized condition.
  • Gather and inspect all required materials, equipment, and chemicals before beginning assigned work.
  • Assist with aircraft washing, waxing, and exterior inspections as assigned.
  • Properly prepare and position equipment in accordance with airline and airport safety procedures.
  • Conduct FOD (Foreign Object Debris) walks to help maintain clean and safe aircraft work areas.
  • Follow all airport, airline, and Huntleigh USA safety and security procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required airport security and background checks.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Previous aircraft cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Must maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
  • Must comply with all required uniform, safety, and security standards.
Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent physical activity throughout the work shift. Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift, carry, and/or hold 75 pounds or more.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, squat, stoop, push, pull, bend, and reach.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Work efficiently while meeting aircraft turnaround deadlines.
  • Work around aircraft, airport equipment, noise, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Schedule & Work Environment
  • 8:00 PM โ€“ 3:00 AM
  • Evening/overnight work environment
  • May include weekends and holidays based on operational requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced airport environment and meet scheduled aircraft turnaround times.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management based on operational and business needs.
  • Maintain flexibility to assist with tasks outside of routine cabin cleaning duties when required.
