Aircraft Maintenance Controller

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Aircraft Maintenance Controller FULL-TIME Opportunity in O'Fallon, MO

  • Starting Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 annually
  • On Duty Housing Available

We are hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Controller responsible for coordinating daily Part 135 maintenance operations to ensure aircraft safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness. This position manages maintenance-related out-of-service events, coordinates unscheduled maintenance responses, facilitates communication between field personnel and maintenance teams, and ensures aircraft are returned to service in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors Daily Activities for the 135 Maintenance Operations.
  • Ensures all maintenance performed is addressed in RAMCO.
  • Assists the Maintenance Control Manager, ADOM/DOM in the surveillance of AEL 135 operations for compliance
  • Issues authorization for inspection/overhaul extensions and maintains log of authorized inspection extensions.
  • Receives calls from the field about aircraft being placed out of service (OOS) for maintenance.
  • Receives calls from Mechanics/Pilots for aircraft being placed OOS for maintenance.
  • Reviews with Mechanic/Pilot proper write up to be entered into the maintenance record
  • Ensures an AML is created in RAMCO to record all maintenance performed
  • Creates all OOS for maintenance pages and is responsible for OOS for maintenance updates.
  • Initiates calls to mechanics for unscheduled maintenance and coordinates all efforts in returning an aircraft to service to include personnel, parts, tools and technical data.
  • Assists mechanics in troubleshooting aircraft and engine problems
  • Works through procedures to identify proper parts required and ensures they are ordered appropriately
  • Contact Technical Representatives or Engineering services to gather technical data, expanded damage limits, or detailed repair guidance to expedite RTS as required Ensures return to service (RTS) procedures are followed.
  • Issues MEL control numbers for deferred maintenance and ensures proper tracking in RAMCO Issues MEL extensions as appropriate.
  • Ensures all required maintenance record entries are made
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Valid State issued Driver’s License
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
  • Knowledge in aircraft, engine, and component records
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and records books
  • Ability to direct, control, and plan large and detailed schedules of maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC135 maintenance experience
  • Three (3) years of turbine powered helicopter maintenance experience
  • Related experience under CFR Part 135
