Weekend Air Force Reserves, formally known as Air Force Reserve, is a component of the United States Air Force where members typically serve part-time, often one weekend a month and two weeks a year. These reservists balance civilian life with military training and duties, providing vital support to the Air Force’s mission. Weekend reservists may be called to active duty during national emergencies or when additional personnel are needed. This arrangement allows individuals to serve their country while maintaining civilian careers or pursuing education. Members receive pay, benefits, and may be eligible for tuition assistance and retirement plans.
