Job description

A specialized, multidisciplinary interventional pain management clinic in Augusta, GA is seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This position is open to either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or a Physician Assistant (PA). Both designations fully meet the criteria for this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys helping patients, values a collaborative clinical environment, and is interested in developing advanced skills in pain management. The practice offers a congenial, patient-centered atmosphere and a competitive compensation package, including 401(k) participation, PTO and health/dental/vision.



Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider will evaluate and treat new and established patients, develop individualized care plans, educate patients regarding their medical conditions, and perform office-based procedures. The APP will work collaboratively with supervising physicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care.



Key Responsibilities (Applicable to Both NP and PA)

  • See new and established patients in an outpatient pain management setting

  • Obtain, review, and document comprehensive medical histories

  • Perform physical examinations and assess patient health status

  • Develop and implement patient-specific treatment and management plans

  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests (e.g., laboratory studies, imaging)

  • Perform therapeutic and office-based procedures, including injections

  • Educate and counsel patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans

  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education



Qualifications & Licensure Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners (NP):

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)

  • Current, unrestricted Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license

  • National NP certification (AANP or ANCC, as applicable)

  • Eligible for or holding prescriptive authority in the state of Georgia

  • Current BLS certification

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)

For Physician Assistants (PA):

  • Graduate of an ARC-PAโ€“accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current, unrestricted Georgia Physician Assistant license

  • NCCPA certification (PA-C)

  • Eligible to practice under physician supervision in Georgia

  • Current BLS certification

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)



Preferred Skills and Attributes
