Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Provide creative solutions to exceed expectations. Assign loads based on customer requirements, driver availability and maximum profitability for assign region. Function as the recognized authority on freight flows for assigned geographic area actively collaborate with Operations, Sales, Pricing and Customer Service. May be assigned to weekend or other shifts.

  • Prioritize the movement of trucks and freight based on customer and driver needs on a daily basis.
  • Make sure every market is positioned to be at or above capacity utilizing asset and non-asset.
  • Maximize customer trailer pool usage.
  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of your market and work daily with General Managers, Driver Managers, Terminal Managers, Director of Operations and Sales to increase market development.
  • Have a high level of urgency to push your market to a desired capacity level with a focus on maximizing driving hours and setting drivers up for success.
  • Be highly engaged and proactive while increasing your markets service numbers above 94%.
  • Engage with Sales, Pricing, Customer Service and Operations across all lines of business and provide solutions that increase freight and driver revenue.
  • Control and manage freight for assigned geographic area.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objective.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 3+ years' in Operations and/or Planning and/or Customer Accounts in the transportation industry required.
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must be able to effectively transfer knowledge to others.
  • Must be able to understand financial reports.
  • Must be able to effectively utilize available technologies (Micromap, Tableau, etc.)
  • Must be proficient with MS Office skills.


Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 Annual
