Job description

LPN – Any Shift | Full-Time or Part-Time

Glenwood Retirement Village is seeking compassionate LPNs to join our team! Weekend premium pay of $5/hour applies when working 3 out of 4 weekends per month, bringing weekend wages to $32.53–$34.50/hour based on experience. Base pay applies Monday–Friday. Additional shift differentials include $2/hour PM and $3/hour NOC. Sign-on bonuses available for full-time and part-time positions

Position Requirements:
1. Must work 3 out of 4 weekends a month

2. Hold a current license in the State of Minnesota. Must maintain current certification in CPR.
3. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
4. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government
agencies/personnel, and the general public.
5. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and
guidelines that pertain to long term care.
6. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise
other personnel.
7. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives,
policies, and procedures, etc.
8. Must be able to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing
practices.
9. Must be able to handle confidential information within guidelines of professional ethics, in accordance with
HIPPA.
10. Demonstrate leadership or potential leadership ability.
11. The charge nurse must be able to meet the following physical requirements to complete duties listed in the job
description:
a. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, and kneel occasionally.
b. Must be able to twist, reach above shoulder height, push/pull wheelchair or cart frequently.
c. Must be able to be on their feet for most of their shift as assigned.
d. Must be able to push, pull, move or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet and be
able to push, pull, move or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
e. Must be able to lift 50-200 pounds occasionally.
f. The charge nurse must be able to read and understand handwriting, regular print and directions. Must
be able to write in a legible manner. Vision must be appropriate to read regular 10 point print with or
without corrective lens.
g. Must be able to hear sounds of call lights and resident calls for assistance when the resident is not
within their sight.
12. Must be able to work independently up to 100% of the time.
13. Must be able to work every other weekend, and holidays.
14. Must complete Criminal Background check as required to assure qualification for employment.
15. Must understand and practice Standard Precautions.
16. Must keep up with CEU’s for licensure renewal.
17. Must attend 75% of monthly nurses’ meetings in a year.
