Account Manager - Personal Lines

Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a leading independent insurance agency to find a skilled Personal Lines Account Manager for their office in Slinger, WI. In this role, you will work side-by-side with a dedicated team of agents to deliver exceptional customer service and account support to individual and group clients. Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Work Location: Slinger, WI (On-site / Non-Remote)


Key Responsibilities

  • Market Placement: Prepare submissions and market new and renewal business to appropriate insurance carriers.
  • Client Support: Act as the primary contact for day-to-day inquiries, coverage recommendations, and service issues for assigned accounts.
  • Quoting & Analysis: Quote, analyze, and compare coverage options to provide tailored recommendations and collect client exposure data.
  • Account Maintenance: Keep the agency management system meticulously updated with precise client and policy information.
  • Liaison & Advocacy: Serve as the bridge between clients, vendors, and carriers to resolve complex issues and streamline processes.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage renewal timelines to ensure timely execution, and track open issues to keep both agents and clients fully informed.
  • Documentation: Prepare thorough summaries of insurance, renewals, schedules, and proposals while reviewing policies for strict accuracy.
  • Sales Support: Assist agents with new and renewal business presentations as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Foster long-term client relationships through proactive communication and by educating clients on current industry trends.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience specific to personal lines insurance.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of personal insurance products, rating structures, and underwriting procedures.
  • Technical Savvy: Practical knowledge of insurance quoting tools and proficiency in documenting information within data systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operational Excellence: High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and sharp business acumen.
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities efficiently, accurately, and independently while following established workflows.


License and Certification Requirements

  • Driver's License: A valid Wisconsin driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
  • Insurance License: Current Wisconsin Property & Casualty Resident Intermediary license (or the immediate ability to obtain one).
