We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and upbeat person to join our Farm Family!
This position is for 15 up to 40 hours a week during the Fall season. Starting pay is $11.50 an hour.
At Apple Hill Farm, we offer guided walking tours of our farm year-round and sell a multitude of products from our farm and other sources in our on-site store.
You will primarily be working with the public: leading tours, greeting customers, helping in the store, ETC. There is some hands-on care of the animals that you will be responsible for, but about 75% of your time will be spent directly or indirectly with our visitors.
Essential Functions and Qualifications of the job:
  • Able to lead a guided walking tour that lasts 45 to 60 minutes, on hilly terrain
  • Available weekdays and holidays
  • Available at least between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm on WEEKDAYS and WEEKENDS
  • Friendly disposition
  • Able to work in all types of weather
  • Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Help customers make selections and purchases in our store
  • Learn about the animals that live at Apple Hill Farm, and share that information with our guests
  • Dependable and reliable
You will be expected to lead guided walking tours for groups from 1 person up to 15 people. You may be taking out one to three tours a day.
You will need to be able to learn about some of the products in the store and help customers make selections.
