Job Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Interventional Pain Management)

Location: Mesa, Arizona (with twice-monthly travel to Peoria, AZ)

Hours & Schedule: Full-Time | Weekdays Only | No Nights or Weekends

Work Environment: Outpatient Multidisciplinary Pain Management Clinic

Travel Required: Local travel to Peoria, AZ, two times per month

Salary / Hourly Rate: $130,000 – $160,000 annually (DOE)

Job Summary:

This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a progressive interventional pain management practice in Mesa, Arizona. The role focuses on evaluating patients with chronic and acute pain conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and performing or assisting with minimally invasive interventional procedures. The position offers a collaborative clinic environment, weekday-only scheduling, and the ability to work closely with experienced physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories
  • Evaluate and diagnose chronic and acute pain conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Perform or assist with interventional procedures including epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), spinal cord stimulator trials, vertebral augmentation, MILD, and Vertiflex procedures
  • Order, review, and interpret imaging studies and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications within scope of practice and regulatory guidelines
  • Accurately document all patient encounters within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients on treatment options, procedures, and pain management strategies


Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Puerto Rico programs not eligible)
  • Active and unrestricted Arizona NP or PA license
  • DEA license with Schedule II–IV prescribing authority
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in interventional pain management, spine, orthopedics, or related specialty
  • Familiarity with pain procedures and multidisciplinary treatment approaches
  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
