ESPN Chicago Part-Time Marketing Event Supervisor

(Chicago, IL)  

Good Karma Sports and ESPN Chicago are looking for part-time Marketing Events Supervisors to join our marketing team and assist with promotional street team events, remote broadcasts and partnership activations across the region. We are looking for energetic, outgoing and dependable teammates who are excited to represent ESPN Chicago, engage with fans and partners, and help create a positive experience at events throughout the Chicagoland market area.

Career responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Execute promotional street team events, remote broadcasts and partnership activations throughout the market 
  • Load, unload and transport promotional equipment and materials  
  • Set up and tear down promotional displays, tents, tables, signage, audio equipment and other event materials  
  • Maintain promotional equipment, event supplies and station vehicles in safe working order  
  • Represent ESPN Chicago, Good Karma Sports and our partners in a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner  
  • Engage and interact with fans, partners and teammates during events  
  • Distribute promotional materials, prizes and partner products  
  • Execute on-site contests, games and other promotional activities  
  • Capture photos and videos for use in event recaps produced by the Marketing Department  
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks to be added on as needed  
  • Be a Good Karma ambassador by adhering to our core values: Be Honest, Work Hard, Over Deliver, Listen, Teamwork and Follow Through

Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications 

  • Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and reliability  
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and varying schedules. Our remote broadcasts usually occur on weekdays during the day and shift lengths vary.
  • Marketing, promotions, partnership activations or broadcast event experience or interest  
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently  
  • Friendly and outgoing personality  
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to follow directions and adapt in fast-paced event environments  
  • Ability to lift and carry event equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the physical tasks associated with event setup and tear-down.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive station vehicles to and from events as needed.

This is a part-time, hourly position.

Pay Transparency: The anticipated starting hourly range for Chicago-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $17.05 - $20.00 per hour. The hourly rate is to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
