What You’ll Do- Install and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment, including:
- Extrusion, stretch, and injection blow molding machines
- Packaging systems and automated palletizers
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Troubleshoot and repair issues across:
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Complete equipment installations, layouts, and upgrades
- Modify equipment to improve performance, reliability, and safety
- Support facility maintenance as needed
- Accurately document repairs, maintenance, and modifications
- Train and support operators and fellow technicians
- Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and drive improvements
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to a team-oriented, “help wherever needed” environment
Required Qualifications- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- OR
- Associate degree (AA) in Industrial Maintenance + 1+ year hands-on experience
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for industrial equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commitment to safety in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work a 3rd shift rotating schedule (12-hour shifts)
Preferred Qualifications- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
- Experience with:
- Blow molding (extrusion, stretch, injection)
- Plastics, bottling, or similar manufacturing environments
- Automated packaging systems and palletizers
- Experience training or mentoring others
- Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
