Job description

Winpak is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Extrusion Operator to join our production team. These are 12-hour rotating shifts (either 8:00 am - 8:00 pm - OR - 8:00 pm - 8:00 am). They rotate on a 2/2/3 rotation with every other weekend off.
In this role, you will operate extrusion and co-extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products that meet customer needs. You will contribute to a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining production standards and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing, innovative company that values teamwork, safety, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate extruding and co-extruding machinery safely and efficiently to produce quality products.
  • Perform quality checks as dictated by sampling plans.
  • Promote safety practices and work collaboratively with other operators.
  • Read and follow order paperwork, ensuring special instructions are adhered to.
  • Build, label, and wrap pallets to meet customer expectations.
  • Prepare raw materials and monitor process changes to maintain consistent production.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties as needed to ensure a clean and safe work area.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a blown film environment.
  • Basic math, computer, and measurement reading skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and stair climbing.
  • Ability to work on a rotational shift schedule, including some weekends and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with extruding and co-extruding machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental policies.
  • Ability to make machine adjustments and assist in changeovers once trained.

Additional Details:
  • Required to work three 12-hour shifts
  • This position is 100% onsite.
