Job Summary/Description:

High-energy breaking news reporter and anchor to join our team.

This position will format and front breaking, developing, and other big news stories in the weekday morning newscasts and co-anchor the midday newscast, including producing the newscast three days a week. This position also includes regular in-depth reporting as well as fill-in duties as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Anchor Midday newscasts, presenting information clearly and professionally.
- Research, write, and edit breaking and developing news items for the morning news.
- Find and develop news stories around information and events in the area.
- Produce the midday newscast 3 days a week
- Engage with audiences on social media
- Write and post stories and videos for the station's digital platforms.
- Maintain high journalistic standards in line with station brand and goals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- 1-2 years professional TV newsroom experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Mass Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous on-air experience.
- Strong news judgement and editorial skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Drive to experiment and learn on digital and emerging platforms
