Job description

The individual in this position will be working in the theater costume shop to support the production of costumes for the theater and dance department shows, as well as facilitating the general day-to-day workings of the costume shop.

Location: Yulman Theater, Henle Dance Pavilion
Supervisor: Brittany Belz
Work available: Afternoons (weekdays), some evening and weekend
Pay Rate: $9.70/hr
Number of Positions Available: 2
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Hours are in the afternoon with some evening and weekend times available depending on the needs of the shows.
  • Sewing by machine and by hand. There is no need for prior sewing or theatrical experience
  • Organizing, cleaning and prepping costumes for each show
  • Create some crafts and accessories

  • Able to get along well with fellow students
  • Students must be able to show up on time and understand that the type of work being done in the shop is highly variable depending on the needs of the current production.
