GENERAL OVERVIEW
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the educational activities for the assigned service, participating in meeting the educational needs for patient care service and maintains clinical expertise.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies. (25%)
- Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. (25%)
- Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, professional development and provides direct patient care. (40%)
- Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Master's Degree in Nursing Education or Nursing, current incumbents' hired on or before 11/16/25 are exempt from this requirement
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
Preferred
- Specialty certification preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in specialization preferred.

- CPR - American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
