El Capitan Canyon Resort may have the opportunity you have been seeking. We offer a luxury glamping experience on 300 acres in a stunning natural environment. As a groundskeeper, you will provide a variety of landscaping and maintenance duties that will help us create the magical surroundings our guests have grown to appreciate.
Job Summary:
As a Groundskeeper, you will report to our Groundskeeping Manager. You will work together to...
  1. Empty trash, shovel, and perform maintenance or repair duties using saws, blowers, mowers, drills or other hand tools.
  2. Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately. Regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/ shrubs, spread mulch/ woodchips / stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
  3. Inspect irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repair as needed.
  4. Pick-up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
  5. Report all resort maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to manager.
  6. Ensure resort is presentable at all times and adheres to El Capitan Canyon Resort's standards.
  7. Safely operate vehicles for the purpose of performing job duties.
  8. Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
  9. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  1. High School Education.
  2. Previous groundskeeping experience in the resort/hospitality industry,
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques.
  4. Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work.
  5. Valid driver's license.
  6. Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
  7. Ability to provide legible written reports.
  8. Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
  9. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
