We are seeking a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our fine jewelry team. As a Fine Jewelry & Diamond Sales Associate, you will educate customers on diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, engagement rings, wedding bands, luxury jewelry collections, and custom jewelry options while providing an elevated and memorable shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a luxury shopping experience.
  • Welcome and engage clients in a professional and consultative manner.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate jewelry and diamond selections.
  • Guide clients through engagement ring, wedding band, anniversary, and special occasion purchases.
  • Present and explain product features, craftsmanship, materials, and value.
  • Build trust through education and transparent communication.
  • Upsell and cross-sell complementary products and services.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
  • Follow up with clients regarding inquiries, special orders, repairs, and custom projects.
  • Maintain detailed client records and purchase histories.
  • Develop repeat business and referral opportunities.
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.

Diamond & Jewelry Expertise

  • Educate customers on:
    • The 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat Weight)
    • Diamond certification and grading reports
    • Natural diamonds and laboratory-grown diamonds
    • Colored gemstones
    • Precious metals (gold, platinum, silver)
    • Jewelry care and maintenance
  • Explain diamond pricing and quality differences.
  • Present certified diamonds and discuss grading documentation.
  • Assist clients with custom jewelry design consultations.
  • Stay current on industry trends, jewelry fashion, and market developments.
  • Understand bridal, fashion, estate, and luxury jewelry categories.

Product Presentation & Merchandising

  • Ensure showcases and displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Merchandise products according to company standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of displays and inventory presentation.
  • Replace sold items and maintain stock levels.
  • Prepare merchandise for special events and promotions.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and luxury presentation standards.

Marketing & Events Support

  • Assist with in-store events and trunk shows.
  • Support promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
  • Encourage social media engagement when appropriate.
  • Participate in community outreach and client appreciation events.
  • Represent the brand professionally at all times.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Previous retail sales experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust with clients.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Bilingualism: English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working toward sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency with POS and CRM systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in fine jewelry, diamonds, luxury retail, bridal sales, or high-ticket sales.
  • Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals.
  • Experience with custom jewelry sales.
  • Understanding of diamond grading reports and certifications.
  • Jewelry industry training or certifications.
