We are seeking an accomplished Senior Events Manager to lead the planning and flawless execution of memorable events for our Food & Beverage division at The Westin. Job Summary

The Senior Events Manager will oversee the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of events ranging from corporate meetings and banquets to weddings and social gatherings. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability while leading a team of event professionals in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination across catering, banquet, and operations teams.
  • Design customized event proposals and floor plans that align with client vision and budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, culinary, and banquet departments to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and vendor agreements to secure favorable terms while maintaining profitability.
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting revenue and controlling costs to meet departmental financial goals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior event coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Analyze post-event feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve service standards and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in event management, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events, banquets, or conferences.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
