Job description

SOCIAL & CONTENT LEAD

POSITION SUMMARY

Some of the most important days in someone's life deserve to be told beautifully.

Walters Hospitality exists to make those days feel effortless and unforgettable. Across our growing portfolio of wedding and event venues, we show up for couples at a moment that matters more than almost any other — and everything we do is built around earning that trust.

We believe great hospitality and great marketing share the same foundation: attention, consistency, and genuine care for the person on the other side.

If you fall a little in love with a beautiful feed, light up at a good story, and believe social can be someone's first unforgettable impression of a place — you'll feel right at home here.

WHERE YOU COME IN

Long before a couple tours out venue or browsing our website, they meet us somewhere quieter and far more intimate — a feed scrolled while sipping coffee, a blog post saved and revisited, a reel watched three times before bed. That's where the dreaming starts, and it's what you'll own: the tender, high-stakes stretch where admiration turns into a decision.

As our Social & Content Lead, you'll lead social strategy, editorial content, and community engagement across the entire Walters portfolio of venues and brands — partnering closely with our brand, growth, and field marketing leaders. You're as fluent in performance as you are in culture, equally at home setting the voice and reading the numbers behind it.

This is a strategy-and-execution role: you set the vision, voice, and standards and direct content from afar, while our on-the-ground teams capture the moments at each venue. You'll lead through influence rather than a big team — and you'll have real room to build.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Own the Voice: Develop and protect a distinct Walters social voice — warm, romantic, current, and impossible to mistake for anyone else.

• Run the Engine: Drive the content calendar across brands, venues, and channels; build content pillars tied to booking seasons and milestones; and stand up the capture system our field teams run, from shot lists to standards.

• Live in the Community: Lead day-to-day publishing across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, and treat every comment and DM with the care of a front-desk welcome.

• Make Scroll-Stopping Content: Script, storyboard, direct, and edit the short-form video and other high-engagement formats that couples actually stop for.

• Grow Owned Media: Build our editorial channels — blog, newsletter, and beyond — with real-wedding features that read like a beloved publication, not an ad.

• Build Partnerships & Earn Press: Team up with vendors, planners, photographers, creators, and tastemakers on activations and campaigns, and create the PR-worthy moments worth earning press, citations, and brand mentions.

• Prove It: Measure reach, engagement, and influence, tie them to brand and business outcomes, and report what's working, what's next, and why.

YOUR SUPERPOWERS

• Social Native: 5+ years running performance-oriented social, ideally across multiple accounts, locations, or brands in a B2C world.

• A Real Voice: A distinctive writer with aesthetic taste and a sharp editorial instinct; editorial or publishing experience is a major plus.

• Natural Social Instinct: A creative eye and a creator's skillset — you're plugged into culture and intuitively know what will make people stop, feel, and share.

• On-Camera Ease: Comfortable hosting and on-screen, with the charisma and authenticity to carry the brand — plus the basics of framing, mobile lighting, and audio.

• Trend Radar: Native fluency across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, and a habit of being early to trends rather than chasing them.

• AI-Fluent Operator: Working knowledge of SEO and emerging AI-driven discovery, comfortable living in analytics and reporting, and eager to use AI to scale without losing the human touch.

• Tool Belt: Fluent in tools like Canva, CapCut, Premiere, Later, Sprout Social, HubSpot, and native app editors.

• In Love with the Work: Genuine passion for weddings, hospitality, and events — bonus points for bridal or hospitality-adjacent experience in a multi-location or multi-brand setting.

HOW WE WORK

This role is remote and US-based, with some travel to our venues and markets for the moments and key events worth being there for in person.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

• Competitive Pay: Estimated base salary band of $75,000–$95,000, depending on experience, plus annual or quarterly bonus.

• Rewarded for Results: Team performance incentives, including educational opportunities, bonuses, and team outings.

• Health & Well-Being: 85% Employer-Subsidized Medical Insurance, plus Dental & Vision coverage

• Time to Recharge: Unlimited PTO

• Device & Phone Stipend

• 401(k) with 4% Company Match

• A Front-Row Seat to Joy: Work that helps thousands of couples fall in love with the place where they'll say "I do."
