Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Support federal programs within a collaborative, agile development environment. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex web-based applications while providing technical leadership and guidance to the development team.

Software Development

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex software applications and systems.
  • Interpret functional and technical requirements and translate them into high-quality code.
  • Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide guidance and technical leadership to development resources.

  • Knowledge of Electron and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Development of SOAP and REST APIs/Web Services.
  • Strong Java/J2EE application development experience.
  • Proficiency with Spring MVC, JSP, JDBC, JPA/OpenJPA, and Hibernate.
  • Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of multi-tier application design and architecture.
  • Experience with JUnit and TDD/TFD methodologies.
