Job Overview
The Material Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the warehouse team continually supports all facets of operations, to include inbound receiving, outbound shipping and logistics, and production control. The supervisor will oversee all systematic and transactional activities, will be the key resource for all warehouse team members, and will implement continuous improvement activities that will increase replenishment efficiency and inventory accuracy. As the warehouse supervisor, you will be instrumental in setting the standard for support for both internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
  • Supervise the three primary warehouse teams (shipping and receiving, production control, and outbound logistics) across 2 facilities.
  • Ensure all inbound direct material shipments are unloaded, systematically received, and put away in a timely and efficient manner, and provide assistance with systematic or equipment support to ensure the team can continually operate.
  • Monitor all replenishment activity, ensuring high priority requests are replenished rapidly, while maintaining consistent medium and low priority replenishments within the required timeframe.
  • Provide high level training to new hires, confirming they understand the scope of their function and have all systematic and equipment access required to perform their duties.
  • Manage time card submissions, monitor time off requests, and perform all other personnel functions for the warehouse team.
  • Generate quarterly cycle count plan in alignment with finance team requirements, and provide adjustment analysis prior to final count submission.
  • Review all indirect material requests to support engineering and test and development teams.
  • Manage inventory of all equipment and consumable materials that are required to keep the warehouse operational, while controlling costs as much as possible.

Who You Are:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proficient with ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc), with significant experience with spreadsheets
  • Solutions oriented leader that attacks problems and resolves root cause issues
  • Experience with automotive components a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following safety protocols
