Position Summary
This position leads all aspects of product change management, ensuring a seamless flow of information from initial concept through final production. The role oversees Product Data Specialists and Drafters, driving the accuracy and integrity of part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and related product data to support efficient manufacturing and operational excellence.
Key Deliverables
  • Coordination of product and test specifications
  • SAP Master Data-BOMs (Bills of Material), Routings, and Costing Data
  • Excellent Customer Service for internal and external customers

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
75% Coordinates Engineering Documentation System
  • Coordinates the various steps required to change Product Change Requests (PCR's) into Product Change Notices (PCN's), which may include SAP data, drawings, test specifications, packaging sheets, repair sheets, corrections, and workflow etc. by directing engineering personnel.
  • Lead for all PCR, part number, bar code and pilot run logs.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy in the SAP system with Bills of Material (BOM) data, part numbers, routings, and revision letters as prepared by the drafters and product data specialist.
  • Trouble-shoots master data issues related to Bills of Material, costing, material determination, and product status.
  • Train non-engineering workflow users.
  • Oversees and enters into SAP the basic cost structure for engineering review.
  • Acts as managing liaison for all engineering projects from conception through production.
  • Tests and approves configuration in the workflow system including concept for other departments execution.

25% Manages the CAD Drawing System
  • Assigns part numbers, bar codes, maintains bar code log, and oversees or assists with initial set-up of bar code labels, coordinating with CAD Operators.
  • Oversees or produces non-drawing type documents including packaging sheets and engineering metric reports.
  • Tracks and oversees all product engineering drawing master files.
  • Coordinates drawing completion, review and engineering approval by revision letter.

Basic Requirements
  • Associate degree, preferably in engineering OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience within the engineering or related field.
  • 1+ year of project coordination or project management experience required
  • Prior SAP experience required.
  • Prior manufacturing/engineering field experience required.
  • Preferred: Green/Red Belt Six Sigma.
