Job description

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Marketing Intern to join our team. In the AEC industry, marketing is the engine that helps win new work. In this role, you won’t just be managing social media; you will dive into the strategic world of professional services marketing. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate complex technical concepts into compelling stories, proposal materials, and brand campaigns.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design to gain hands-on, resume-building experience in a thriving B2B industry.
Key Responsibilities

  • Proposal & Pursuit Support: Assist the marketing team in preparing, formatting, and proofreading qualification packages, proposals (RFPs/RFQs), and presentation decks for upcoming project pursuits.
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Write and edit project descriptions, team member bios, resume sheets, and case studies that highlight our technical expertise.
  • Social Media & Digital Brand: Help manage and create content for our digital channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, firm website), highlighting project milestones, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and company culture.
  • Database & Asset Management: Assist with the updating our digital asset library, including project photography, client testimonials, and CRM database records
  • Event & Award Support: Assist in coordinating industry events, and drafting award submissions for our standout projects and people.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign—this is the gold standard for AEC marketing and Photoshop or other photo editing software) and WordPress is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail. You should be comfortable interviewing busy technical staff to extract project stories.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple deadlines, organize digital files efficiently, and stay structured in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in the Built Environment: A genuine curiosity about architecture, engineering, or construction.
