About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):

With Intelligence, part of S&P Global are recruiting an experienced Private Markets Editor for The Americas.

This role is a senior part of our With Intelligence Private Markets editorial team, leading a group of reporters focused on uncovering the most important developments across private equity and private credit markets in the Americas.

The Americas Editor manages a team of journalists covering fundraising, investment activity, performance, firm strategy and broader market developments across private markets. The team operates as part of a global editorial group spanning the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, delivering proprietary, forward-looking and actionable intelligence to fund managers, investors and service providers.

Through exclusive reporting, market analysis and industry insight, the team helps subscribers identify opportunities, understand competitive dynamics and stay ahead of market developments. Alongside breaking news, the team produces trend analysis, thought leadership and longer-form reports that explore the themes shaping private markets globally.

As the editorial lead for the Americas, you will play a key role in executing and shaping coverage priorities within a broader global content framework, ensuring our reporting delivers maximum value to subscribers and reflects the evolving dynamics of the market.

What's in it for you

  • Lead a talented team focused on delivering market-leading private markets intelligence across North America.
  • Help shape coverage of one of the world's largest and most influential private markets ecosystems.
  • Build relationships with leading private equity and private credit managers, investors, advisers and other senior industry participants.
  • Establish yourself as a recognised voice on private markets trends through speaking engagements, interviews, reports and thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Work alongside experienced editors and reporters covering private markets across all major global regions.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of one of With Intelligence's most strategically important editorial franchises.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Editorial, Data, Insights and Events to enhance the depth and value of our private markets intelligence.

Responsibilities and impact:

Editorial Leadership and Content Strategy

  • Lead private markets coverage across the Americas, ensuring alignment with With Intelligence's global content strategy while reflecting regional market developments and subscriber needs.
  • Execute a defined content plan agreed with the Editor-in-Chief and senior editorial leadership, helping refine coverage priorities through market insight and audience feedback.
  • Ensure reporting delivers proprietary, forward-looking and actionable intelligence across private equity and private credit markets.
  • Identify emerging trends, firms, strategies and market developments that merit deeper coverage and analysis.
  • Maintain the highest editorial standards across all published content.

Team Leadership and Editorial Excellence

  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of reporters, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, accountability and journalistic excellence.
  • Establish and reinforce best practices for sourcing, reporting and content development.
  • Provide editorial oversight, coaching and feedback while remaining an active contributor to coverage.
  • Support the professional development of reporters and help strengthen the team's expertise across private markets.

Market Intelligence and Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain a strong network of private markets contacts across the Americas, generating exclusive insights and proprietary intelligence.
  • Develop a deep understanding of private equity and private credit markets, including fundraising activity, performance trends, investment strategies and organisational developments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on private markets trends for colleagues across the global editorial team.
  • Partner with Data and Insights teams to identify gaps in market coverage and contribute expertise that enhances the depth, accuracy and relevance of our private markets intelligence.
  • Monitor competitor activity, subscriber needs and broader industry developments to ensure coverage remains differentiated and valuable.

Industry Representation and Business Collaboration

  • Represent With Intelligence at industry conferences, roundtables and client events across the Americas.
  • Moderate panels, conduct interviews and contribute to reports, webinars, podcasts, videos and other thought-leadership initiatives.
  • Work closely with Events, Data and Insights teams to maximise the impact and reach of our private markets intelligence.
  • Serve as a leading voice on private markets developments for internal stakeholders, subscribers and industry participants.
  • Help strengthen With Intelligence's reputation as a leading source of private markets intelligence.
