Job description

Marketing & Events Manager

Austin, TX (Hybrid Preferred)

Full-Time

About FluxTec,

At FluxTec, we’re redefining how mission-critical data centers commission their most complex infrastructure. Our flagship product, the LLB 670, is the world’s most advanced liquid-cooled load bank, built specifically for testing and commissioning AI/HPC environments. Founded by two industry veterans, FluxTec is a fast-growing startup backed by major clients and significant market momentum.

We are looking for a highly motivated Marketing & Events Manager to help build our market presence, support our sales efforts, and take ownership of day-to-day marketing execution.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, proactive, digitally fluent, and excited to help build a marketing function from the ground up.

The Marketing & Events Manager will support a wide range of marketing activities, including industry events, social media, partner marketing, sales collateral, content coordination, and vendor management. This person will work closely with company leadership to turn customer activity, product differentiation, factory demos, events, and industry relationships into visible market credibility.

This role is ideal for someone early-to-mid career who wants ownership, exposure, and growth opportunity in a fast-moving company.

Key Responsibilities

Events & Field Marketing

• Plan and coordinate customer events, trade show activities, private happy hours, dinners, factory demos, and partner-sponsored events.

• Manage event logistics including venues, catering, invitations, RSVPs, signage, swag, schedules, and day-of coordination.

• Support FluxTec’s presence at industry conferences and trade shows.

• Help identify co-sponsored event opportunities with industry partners and vendors.

• Coordinate pre-event promotion, post-event follow-up, and event-related content.

• Travel as needed for trade shows, customer events, factory visits, and partner meetings.

Social Media & Content

• Own FluxTec’s social media calendar, with an initial focus on LinkedIn.

• Create and publish regular social media content, targeting at least one high-quality post per week.

• Work with leadership to turn customer activity, product milestones, demos, and industry insights into useful content.

• Use AI tools to help draft, repurpose, and organize content while maintaining a professional and technically accurate brand voice.

• Coordinate graphics, infographics, short videos, and other visual assets with designers or freelance resources.

Sales & Marketing Collateral

• Maintain and update sales collateral, including spec sheets, one-pagers, presentations, event materials, and product information.

• Help organize product photos, renderings, technical documents, brand files, and marketing assets.

• Support updates to website content, landing pages, product pages, and other digital assets.

• Coordinate with external branding, web, design, print, video, and offshore resources as needed.

• Help create repeatable processes for events, content creation, collateral updates, and post-event follow-up.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of full-time post-graduation experience in B2B marketing, events, communications, field marketing, sales support, or a related role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Comfortable planning and coordinating events.

• Strong written communication skills.

• Ability to create, edit, and coordinate professional content for LinkedIn and other marketing channels.

• Comfortable using AI tools to improve speed, organization, and execution.

• Professional presence and confidence interacting with customers, partners, and industry contacts.

• Willingness to travel for trade shows, factory visits, customer events, and other industry activities.

• Based in Austin, TX, with the ability to work from the office regularly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in B2B marketing, industrial products, manufacturing, construction, energy, HVAC, electrical equipment, equipment rental, data centers, or mission-critical infrastructure.

• Experience supporting trade shows, customer events, or partner events.

• Experience coordinating with freelancers, designers, video editors, web developers, or offshore resources.

• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Zoho, WordPress, Webflow, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, or similar platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys taking ownership, figuring things out, and making things happen. You should be comfortable in a role where no two weeks look exactly the same. One week may involve planning a customer happy hour. The next may involve coordinating LinkedIn content, updating a spec sheet, organizing trade show materials, working with a designer, and helping prepare for a factory demo.

This role requires someone who can operate with urgency, stay organized, communicate clearly, and take work off the founders’ plates rather than waiting for every instruction.

Why Join FluxTec

• Join a fast-growing company in one of the most important infrastructure markets in the world.

• Work directly with company leadership and have real ownership from day one.

• Help build the marketing function rather than just inherit one.

• Gain exposure to customers, partners, trade shows, factory demos, and major industry relationships.

• Use modern tools, AI workflows, and outside resources to build a lean but high-performing marketing function.

Benefits & Perks

• Medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance options

• HSA-compatible healthcare plans

• Paid time off and company holidays

• Hybrid work flexibility

• Direct exposure to company leadership and major industry relationships

• Significant growth and advancement opportunity as the company scales

Compensation

Starting at approximately $70,000 depending on experience, with performance-based bonus opportunities and significant growth potential as the company scales.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and a brief note explaining why you are interested in the role. If available, please also include examples of marketing projects, events, social media content, collateral, or campaigns you have helped manage.
