Washington, DC has a 6+ month contract position
WEB DEVELOPER (Web Analytics Implementation Developer)
This position will be based in Washington D.C and will work with existing teams to develop scalable analytics solutions.
• Design customized solutions and technical tag implementation strategies
• Upgrade analytics implementation on PDU site
• Work with teams to design and implement Tag Management Solution
• Work with development team to implement Adobe Test and Target
• Compile specifications, review, draft and/or provide input to solution architecture
• Integrate Adobe DTM and Target with CMS platforms
• Maintain and update existing Omniture solution by working with various stakeholders
• Support technical teams to troubleshoot and implement Omniture, Google and other tracking solutions.
• Develop innovative strategies for tracking and tagging, and partner with other teams to define and perform quality assurance testing activities to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
• Work with developers and business teams, as needed, to communicate what the implementation is designed to accomplish; define and manipulate JavaScript functions that need to be executed and provide consultative direction to the development team around best practices and standards.
• Diagnose issues with existing platform configurations and tags, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Direct data layer implementation on site and pages across website properties
• Work with third parties to resolve discrepancies or platform issues
• Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and changes in analytics platforms, and identify how they impact and can grow the capability
Specific Requirements:
• 7+ years in Internet related web and/or analytical development for a public-facing internet web site. (Candidate must have prior experience with intranet/internet web sites development).
• Bachelors or Masters in computer science or related field.
• Experience in implementing scalable Analytics solutions.
• Hands on experience in implementing Omniture and maintaining Javascript libraries.
• Hands on knowledge with Adobe DTM, SiteCatalyst and Target.
• Front-end web development experience with Javascript, CSS, HTML.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Any scripting language knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of modern web development practices such as Git, SVN, Maven and Agile development.
• Motivation and an interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies.
• The ability to work independently with minimal oversight while delivering outstanding results.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills: Adobe Analytics; DTM; Knowledge of multisite analytics solution design; Javascript; Extensive experience in developing Analytics strategies
