Job Description

AFS is seeking a Web Developer to work in our Agile and fast paced Healthcare Sector. Our ideal candidate has the desire to develop great web apps using HTML5, leveraging JavaScript libraries, and modern tooling. The ideal candidate will also adapt to different responsibilities, execute a wide variety of tasks, respect teammates, and show a passion for self-improvement. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design and development of the user interface of web apps
  • Utilize HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and AngularJS/BackboneJS to build web apps that can run on different browsers, platform, and form factors
  • Have influence and input on the automation testing process
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Cooperate with designers to match visual design intent
  • Create pages that appeal to the tastes of the site's users
  • Maintain existing web applications


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years related experience
  • 3 years of experience designing and implementing web apps with JavaScript, JSON, HTML and CSS  
  • 1 year of experience implementing web apps using MVC JavaScript frameworks
  • 1 year of experience implementing mobile-friendly web apps 
  • 1 year of experience with continuous integration
  • 1 year of experience with HTTP and REST services
  • 1 year of experience with JavaScript unit testing
  • 1 year of experience with control management tools including Git, or similar (Mercurial, SVN)
  • 1 year of experience with command line 
  • U.S. Citizen
