Job description

The Brand Collective is a full-service Branding/Web/Marketing/PR & Events Agency located in Miami, specialized in working alongside hospitality and lifestyle brands and driven to create authentic brand experiences through design, strategy, digital, media, influencer marketing, content development, social media and public relations.
We are currently seeking a Digital/ Web Designer for both web and digital applications who can do hands-on design and production while juggling multiple projects within our fast-paced agency. This is a great opportunity to design engaging web experiences for a variety of our clients. The Digital/ Web Designer is responsible for supporting all digital/web/app projects for the agency to include: asset organization, web pre-planning and coordination, wireframing, user interfacing, web prototyping, and web development. You ensure that each project delivers solutions that meet the business objectives and lead projects with your ability to communicate solutions, strategize web objectives, and design dynamic, brand forward prototypes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the efforts of the Web Team on development and execution of all digital, UX/UI graphic materials and deliverable assets to include, organization, coordination and production of digital campaigns, production of wireframes, prototyping, design of website mockups and support the web department with content insertion;
  • Combine UX thinking with design execution, to produce usable and intuitive user interfaces;
  • Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes;
  • Create digital roadmaps for internal agency collaboration (i.e. email campaigns, user journey flows);
  • Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis;
  • Interpret data and qualitative feedback and utilize quantitative and qualitative research to generate meaningful insights that will drive creative concepts;
  • Collaborate with copywriters, brand strategists, marketing and design team to define and refine user stories, personas, and storyboards;
  • Analyze product metrics such as daily sessions, time-on-page, and goal completion rate in order to evaluate effectiveness of existing copy;
  • Exercise understanding of navigation and general user-interface for maximizing usability;
  • Ensures layout of the content is accessible, logical and recommends improvements if necessary;
  • Create research templates for each industry and develop protocols;
  • Lead creative consultations and meetings with clients and teams to assure appropriate creative strategies, adequacy/accuracy of input, schedules, budgets, production support, necessary reviews, and client presentations;
  • Manage client assets for all web projects to include securing logins, backing up assets on server for safe keeping as well as the backup databases, files and XML from Wordpress sites once completed;
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs;
  • Bring business strategy to creative execution to drive results and build impactful relationships;
  • Identify opportunities to connect the team to culture in an effort to deepen our thinking and output;
  • Install analytics code on websites as well as save all images with searchable names, according to best SEO practices;
  • Assist with optimization of website including: tagging images, editing "alt" tags, create all links, ensuring that all text on the website is legible and preferably ‘live’;
  • Performs monthly maintenance changes, recommendations and updates to existing client websites;
  • Perform QA for all web projects, to include testing all forms, reviewing links, code, pages, plugins and other features of the website to ensure functionality;
  • Inspire agency team to be creatively progressive, through the application and ideation of fresh and inventive visual work and conceptualize ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns;
  • Advanced knowledge of email campaign platforms (Constant Contact, Brevo, Klaviyo, Mailchimp), and SEO practices (Raven Tools, Yoast, Google Analytics) a plus;
  • Further developing the agency brand, submissions to web and design awards and participate in ideas to further the agency brand growth;
  • Working with brand planning and analytics to identify the most important audiences and to identify customer touch points.

We'd Like To Find Someone with...

  • Digital E-commerce Experience
  • Digital design degree, equivalent qualification or industry experience;
  • Excellent portfolio of design work across a spectrum of platforms (website, app, digital newsletters, etc);
  • Experience of working in a cross-discipline team environment;
  • Proven track record in identifying, justifying and subsequently solving various design problems;
  • Empathy for the client and the ability to reflect their needs, wants and motivations in your work;
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods;
  • A genuine passion for interface design and interaction with a strong attention to detail;
  • Highly creative with ability to think outside the box with exciting design work;
  • Collaborative in a agency environment and able to work under deadlines and with cross-disciplinary teams;
  • Self-motivated, fun and enthusiastic;
  • Competency with relevant creative tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, etc.);
  • Knowledge of a relevant analytic tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture or other);
  • Experience in designing for multiple platforms (Desktop, Mobile, Web, Apps);
  • Experience in or understanding of Responsive/ Adaptive design desirable;
  • Experience with prototyping tools;
  • Familiarity of HTML/CSS web coding;
  • Some knowledge of email campaign platforms a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and leadership skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and ‘make things happen;
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization procedures and best development practices
