Reporting to the Manager, Technology Digital Products, the Digital Product Manager will play a critical role in shaping Purolator's core digital experiences the customer-facing and enterprise platforms that power how shippers and receivers track their shipments, stay informed, and act on the information that matters most to them. With a focus on our public website, self-serve tracking and notification experiences, and internal enterprise web platforms, this role delivers the digital capabilities tracking, analytics, insights, and actions that reinforce Purolator's core value proposition and support our business and revenue growth strategy in Canada.

Operating with a high degree of ownership, the Digital Product Manager defines the strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement of assigned digital products, partnering closely with cross-functional teams across Technology, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience. As our digital portfolio evolves, the role may also contribute to product operations and other emerging digital initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement of assigned digital products, with short-, mid-, and long-term views aligned to Purolator's business goals, customer needs, and market trends. Identify experience gaps and opportunities for innovation across our core digital surfaces.
  • Conducting market research & generating product requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Technology, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience to define requirements, create business cases, prioritize work, and deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Establishing & executing product and marketing strategies.
  • Stay current on digital trends, competitor experiences, and customer behavior to identify areas for differentiation. Translate web and product analytics into actionable insights that inform prioritization and design decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders to align on strategy, priorities, and business objectives.
  • Define product KPIs and success metrics, own performance monitoring, and measure outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert and service portfolio owner, developing a very strong understanding of products & market needs.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives that drive customer experience, engagement, and business value across Purolator's public website, self-serve tracking and notification experiences, and internal enterprise web platforms.
  • Perform data analyses to capture and synthesize data for root cause analysis and product strategy performance.
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes.
  • Create competitive analysis and market share assessments, coupled with monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses.
  • Perform product post-launch assessments and create plan to gather learnings and implement enhancements as required.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive decisions, features & design, while demonstrating an ability to develop & deliver recommendations in ambiguous situations.
  • Contribute to product operations and process improvements that increase the effectiveness of the broader product team as the digital portfolio scales.
Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years business experience in a product management or adjacent role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing digital products (web, self-serve, or customer-facing platforms) through the full lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading / participating in a major business initiative.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to work on estimation for project/initiative viability.
  • Experience with business requirement refinement.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to provide solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exposure to tools and technology that will increase the velocity of product delivery (AI, collaboration tools, agentic coding tools).
  • Familiarity with web analytics, UX principles, and modern digital product tooling.
  • Able to excel in a dynamic environment, lead and manage several projects simultaneously, strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication skills โ€“ verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills in multiple formats.
  • Experience with Agile and Lean product development practices.
  • Experience working with a SCRUM team on a daily basis for software development.
  • Transportation / supply chain industry experience would be an asset.
  • Experience mentoring junior resources or co-op students is an asset.

Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
