Your Opportunity

The Full-Stack .Net Web Developer, Digital Platforms & Integrations helps BDO maintain, enhance, and scale bdo.ca and its broader digital platform ecosystem.

Reporting to the Digital Manager, this net new role is for an experienced individual contributor who will work closely with the Front-End Developer to ensure the technical health, functionality, performance, and ongoing evolution of BDO's digital platforms.

You will help maintain and evolve bdo.ca, deliver website development work (new components, enhancements, and system updates), deploy changes through modern CI/CD practices, support data and system integrations, manage database-driven functionality, and help automate reporting and operational workflows.

Beyond execution, you will apply sound technical judgment to assess requirements, identify opportunities and risks, recommend scalable solutions, and support the ongoing evolution of BDO's digital platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot the bdo.ca website.
  • Build and enhance website components, templates, forms, and reusable functionality.
  • Develop and enhance CMS functionality (e.g., Kentico), including content models, page types, landing pages, workflows, and publishing capabilities.
  • Support both front-end (React.js, Vue.js, HTML, CSS/SCSS) and back-end development (ASP.NET Core, C#) in collaboration with the Front-End Developer.
  • Design, build, and support integrations between bdo.ca, CMS platforms, databases, analytics tools, workflow systems, APIs, and enterprise applications.
  • Work with SQL databases to support site functionality, reporting, integrations, and automation.
  • Apply sound technical judgment when evaluating requirements, balancing delivery speed, scalability, maintainability, security, and long-term platform health.
  • Maintain Azure DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern deployment practices.
  • Partner with Digital, UX, Analytics, CRM, IT, and business stakeholders to evaluate requirements and recommend technical solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, security, performance, reliability, and operational stability of bdo.ca and supporting platforms.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams, vendors, hosting providers, and technology partners.
  • Support platform upgrades, CMS updates, hotfixes, testing, and release activities.
  • Review platform performance, security, and maintenance requirements and recommend improvements.

Your Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, software engineering, or digital platform development.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting public-facing websites or digital platforms.
  • Genuine interest in digital marketing, user-centred design, website development, user experience, and how technology can improve digital experiences, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    • React, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks
    • ASP.NET Core and C#
    • SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
    • Database design, query optimization, and data integration
    • RESTful APIs and system integrations
    • Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern deployment workflows
  • Experience with CMS platforms; Kentico is considered an asset.
  • Experience with reporting automation, data workflows, or system integrations is a strong asset.

  • Comfortable working closely with the Digital Manager, Front-End Developer, Digital performance team, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Passion for well-designed systems, continuous learning, and improving development practices.

The expected range of compensation for this role is $74,000 to $112,000 annually
